EG 50 ELITE GREY
is a versatile, high-polymer modified powder for installing large format tiles on most substrates. It's suitable for interior and exterior floor and wall installations of ceramic tile, natural stone, granite, and Italian tiles over concrete and various substrates. With superior bond strength, flexibility, and resistance to shock and impact, it's ideal for demanding areas like external facades, industrial floors, and high-trac zones.
Areas of Application
EG 50 adhesive for exterior walls: Ideal for ceramic, clay, basalt, glass mosaic, porcelain tiles, and natural stones on plaster or concrete. Mixes easily with water, oers high adhesion, and workability
Preparation
The floor which is to be tiled should be pre- cleaned to remove all traces of any coating, oil, dust, grease or other such contaminants.
Method of Application
- The substrate to be tiled must be hard PCC substrate without undulations & levelling.
- The surface to be tiled should be sound and thoroughly cleaned. Surface should be free from wax, grease, polish etc.
- Add 3 to 3.5 parts of powder to 1 part of water.
- Mix with a trowel or slow speed drills (50 - 100 rpm) until a lump free homogeneous paste is obtained.
- Spread the adhesive to a thickness of approx. 3-6 mm and comb with a notched trowel.
- Leave mixture for 5 min. before using.
- The prepared paste is to be applied in vertical form on damped tile and in horizontal form on the surface or vice-versa. Using the notched trowel as these create a texture with more grip.
- Strictly apply the adhesive paste which can be tiled within 10 to 15 minutes
- Start placing the tiles on the surface to be tiled. Tap the tiles properly to ensure complete coverage of the backside of tiles and to eliminate the possibility of any air voids.
- Fixing of large format tiles and Stones requires skilled or trained worker only
